Firefighters in our community received hundreds of them and will be giving them out when there's any children involved in any kind of emergency.

The Photo That Breaks My Heart
I don't know her but one day might meet her to hear her story of this teddy that brought her to tears.
THIS is one of the many reasons I have sought to get more and more teddybears from customers. I have heard stories of the teddybears being next to the person before they left this world we call home.
UPDATE 11/15/25
So it looks like the teddybears are going WILD this year! There's actually a donation contest in which Nevada store has done over 1400 already! I don't know exactly what's going on but MY (see story below) whole thing with the bears (I'm told) is inspiring people to do this. Only wish they would tell me so I could hear more.
Here's another thing…some people are saying “well, it's ‘Dave’s thing.' Since when is caring for a lot of people ”Dave's thing?" Don't you care? Don't you want to help? We're in this together!! It's just that people don't want to step up and try to help which hurts and is one of the reasons I'm not asking every single person to help donate.

My two friends, Steve and Dan, bought SIXTY teddybears and gave thirty of them to CGE. The other thirty will be given out on the 15th at another elementary school for low income families.
